Migrant Children Crisis

Migrant children crossing the Texas border are being united with family members in the Dallas area. In addition, Dallas County will likely provide temporary shelter for about 2,000 children beginning in August.

Texas Baptists (BGCT) are accepting donations to help provide for the needs of these children to be housed in Dallas County. We hope that churches will be able to provide limited volunteer assistance at the appropriate time. However, the Dallas shelters have not been identified yet. In the meantime, attorneys and Spanish interpreters are two of the current needs in Dallas.

Sign up to serve through Texas Baptist Disaster Relief (when you register, you have the opportunity to select your area of interest) You'll also receive updates of new volunteer opportunities along the border and throughout the state. Great needs exist on the south Texas border.

"The needs of our church's families and our neighbors are overwhelming. Where do we begin?" God placed your church in your community for a Kingdom purpose. He's given spiritual gifts, aptitudes, and resources to His Body, the church, to fulfill that purpose.
