Church Consultant, DBA (part-time)
Dallas Baptist Association seeks a wise, humble mentor and coach to pastors and church planters. The part-time consultant will serve our churches by working with church leadership at every phase of church life–from church planting, to church growth, to church revitalization. While serving all of our churches, the consultant will especially support churches in African American contexts. The consultant will also work closely with the Dallas Bible Theological Institute. A well-qualified candidate will have an understanding of, and passion for, both church planting and local church ministry. Experience in one or both is highly preferred. A bachelor’s degree or higher and some theological training are also preferred. The consultant will have a thorough understanding of African American churches, will be a member of a DBA church and will be a Christ follower whose life and ministry exemplifies the Spirit-led values of our association. Ministry Assistant, DBA (full-time)

Dallas Baptist Association is seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) ministry assistant to work primarily with the church strengthening team. The Crossing Baptist Church, Mesquite – The Minister of Students will report directly to the Pastor. In conjunction with the Education Team, he/she will be responsible for developing, coordinating and promoting all aspects of the educational program for Middle/High School students and College students. He/she would also manage various administrative/coordinating tasks that support the Pastor and church body. Job Classification: part-time position. Working Relationships: Works with the Pastor, Education Team and related teams to plan, implement and evaluate a balanced student ministry program.
Job Responsibilities: Provide direction and leadership for the student education program of the church by developing, coordinating and promoting Sunday School, Discipleship Training, Missions Education, Wednesday night classes and other activities. Challenge students to spiritual maturity. Equip students to effectively share their faith in Christ. Develop, organize and coordinate a balanced approach to student ministry that includes Bible study, discipleship training, outreach, recreation, fellowship, mission action and music. Equip students to effectively share their faith in Christ. Promote and train leadership in the student division of all church organizations. Equip students to lead their own home-based or on-campus Bible study program. Plan, direct and participate in activities, such as youth camp mission trips, retreats, weekday Bible study, student emphasis Sunday, seminars, banquets and other special events. Train students to serve their community and world as representatives of Christ. – Organize and lead in youth mission activities. – Lead students to serve on and meet the needs of the student ministry and church body. – Lead student participation in local community service projects helping those in physical and spiritual need. Provide counseling to meet the special needs of students, their parents and families. Prepare an annual budget request for student ministry.
