During the last several months, we have had two teams hard at work on our core values and guiding documents. They are now ready to make their report to our Executive Board.
The first team is our Core Value and Mission Statement Team. This team was asked to identify our Core Values and update our Mission Statement. We have had a Mission Statement for many years that we have updated on a number of occasions. However, this is the first time that we have identified a list of Core Values. The Core Values and Mission Statement were approved at the Executive Board on August 31.
The second team is our Constitution and Bylaws Team. We asked this team to review and update our Articles of Incorporation, Constitution, and Bylaws. In order to give ample time for our pastors to discuss the proposed changes, we will present and discuss the proposed amended Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws at the Executive Board meeting on August 31, but will not vote on them until the Executive Board meeting on September 28. If they are approved, then the proposed changes will be presented during the 4 pm Business Session at our Annual Meeting on October 18 at Park Cities Baptist Church. Since we will be voting on these amendments at the Annual Meeting, would you forward this information to any of your church members who will be elected to serve as messengers to the Annual Meeting?
