Equip Dallas provides learning opportunities for anyone seeking to deepen their understanding of living in the Way of Christ. Students completing a course will receive a certificate from Equip Dallas | Dallas Baptist Association.

Word: Basic Biblical Interpretation

[Offered various Saturdays through December 2018] The Bible is a living text that gives us instruction for daily life. Course participants will discover simple tools and methods for understanding the Bible. Emphasis will be placed on word study and understanding context. Cost of Poverty Experience (COPE)

[Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Cliff Temple Baptist Church. 9-noon] The cost of poverty experience (COPE) offers participants a glimpse into the lives of low-income individuals and families living in our community, including the obstacles that are faced, the decisions that are made, and the consequences that impact these families every day.

COPE was developed by Think Tank in partnership with the Chalmers Center (authors of When Helping Hurts). In Dallas, UNITE facilitates the delivery of this training tool. The experiential exercises have been co-designed with low-income individuals who have shared their stories so that participants will gain a more accurate understanding of the complexity of poverty. Making Neighborhoods Whole

[Two Saturday sessions on September 8 and 22, 9:00 a.m. – noon] In this follow-up to the COST OF POVERTY EXPERIENCE (COPE), participants will explore foundational principles of effective ministry, based on the book by Wayne Gordon and Dr. John Perkins, Making Neighborhoods Whole.
