Four Apartments Ready!
A Current Opportunity!

At least four apartment managers are asking for churches to provide ongoing ministries for their  residents.

The general locations of these are:

  • I-635 and La Prada
  • I-635 and Montfort.
  • near I-30 and Jim Miller
  • Pleasant Grove

What a great opportunity for sharing Christ with many who would never come to a traditional church!

Reaching Multihousing Communities

Almost 96% of all the people who live in a multihousing setting do not go to church anywhere.

Multihousing managers realize they have a real crisis with so many people living so close together. They are extremely overworked and too pressured to do relationship building . They ask  for churches to come to their properties to offer assistance and provide activities, Bible studies, and even worship for their residents.

They see the benefit for their communities to have churches serving on site. As ideas are presented to them, most are more then willing to allow us access to the property to work with the residents.

LOW COST!   Can you imagine a situation for sustaining a ministry and/or planting a church where you would never need to build buildings and make mortgage payments on land and structure.? You would never need to pay to have a parking lot put in. You would never have to build a kitchen or bathroom facilities. You would never have the headaches of parking problems or space. You would never have to build a baptistery.  In fact, it would never cost more than a couple hundred dollars any given month for church expenses.

MULTI-CULTURAL!   Your services would likely be casual and include many cultures.

A personal testimony
Multihousing Ministry Makes a Difference

Take a long look at this photo of a proud mother with her baby.  Treshonda got pregnant when she was only 16.  She consideredTreshonda aborting the baby but decided to talk with an apartment missionary, Audrey Simon, first.  Audrey encouraged her not to have an abortion, but instead to place her baby with an adoption agency after birth.  Audrey ministered to Treshonda during her pregnancy.  A short time before the baby was born, Treshonda accepted Christ as her Saviour.  She was baptized at Valley View Baptist Church.  Treshonda told Audrey that she did not want her baby to go through what she did.  She wanted her to grow up knowing Jesus!  Wouldn't you like to see God change lives while you are ministering among people who need the Lord?  Contact Barbara Oden if you are interested in serving in multihousing ministry.

95% of Multihousing Population is Unchurched
Most Americans live in multi-family housing communities. According to the North American Mission Board, 95 percent of multihousing residents have no church involvement.
