Church Planting

 “All the peoples.”

Jesus sent His followers to reach all the peoples of the world.

Now He is actively bringing them to our cities! We can count at least 167 different languages spoken in Dallas County homes.

And among English-speakers alone there are many distinct groups.

We believe that every person in Dallas and Rockwall Counties ought to have a church that communicates well to them--that “speaks their language." Our churches, therefore, are working to plant churches among every language and every kind of person.

Churches that we’ve started have grown to some of the largest megachurches in the nation. Most are much smaller, impacting specific neighborhoods or groups with the Gospel.

The people of the Dallas Baptist Association are praying daily that the Spirit will bring people to join in on this exciting venture.

If you would like to talk more about starting churches or how you and your church might be a part of what God is doing contact us!

Is God leading you towards...
Planting a New Church?

We pray daily for God to send workers into the mission fields of Dallas.

"Ask the Lord of the Harvest to send workers into the harvest," Jesus says. (Luke 10:2b)

If you sense God leading you to explore starting a church in the Dallas area, we'd consider it an honor--and a potentially answered prayer!--to speak with you.

Whether you are just beginning to consider the idea or you already have a group meeting, contact one of us at 214-319-1164 or the emails listed below.

Multiplying Believers and Churches!

The Spirit has been using Training for Trainers (T4T)  around the world to see true movements of new believers, new groups and even new churches develop.

A PowerPoint overview is available here.

Simple/Organic Church Planting Grant

Funds from the Gladys Moore Mission Offering are available to qualifying Dallas Baptist Association churches to assist with the new simple/organic church starts.

(Funding for more traditional church starts is available through other channels.  Please contact us for more information about these.)

To receive a grant, a church must be a cooperating member of the DBA.  This is demonstrated by

  • an established pattern of giving to the Association, and
  • having returned a current Annual Church Profile (ACP).

Churches are strongly urged to accept consultation and attend training to assist with the development of the project, if recommended.

Churches must also agree to report on God's activity through the project, including photos.  This will help others see what God is doing through the Gladys Moore Mission Offering as well as through simple/organic church starts.

Reaching the Nations in Our City
