OUR MISSION: Dallas Baptist Association exists to assist our churches in fulfilling the Great Commission of making disciples of all nations (Matthew 28: 18-20).

OUR VISION: God expanding His Kingdom through multiplying disciples, ministries, and churches throughout Dallas and Rockwall Counties.

IN SHORT, WE BELIEVE GOD CAN DO MORE THROUGH US TOGETHER THAN SEPARATELY.

Most independent and self-supporting churches will want to apply for regular membership. This allows full participation in the activities, leadership roles, resources and voting within the DBA. Regular membership is accomplished through a one year mutual process called watchcare.

Church plants may want to apply for provisional membership.  Church plants often have a sponsor church and are therefore not completely independent.  Provisional membership allows the church to maintain their church plant status and benefits while also sharing in most of the benefits of membership. (Provisional members are limited to  three voting members while full members may have more than that, depending on attendance and financial cooperation.) Provisional members may later apply for regular membership.

1. For regular membership, the church shall be autonomous and duly constituted. For provisional membership the church shall be a church plant of one of the member churches of Dallas Baptist Association.
2. The church or church plant shall be in doctrinal harmony with both the Baptist Faith and Message (BFM 1963,  BFM 2000) substantially as set forth in the Holy Bible and with DBA’s statement on marriage as articulated in article four of the DBA bylaws
3. The church or church plant shall make a commitment to cooperate with the association in accomplishing its purposes and objectives
